Dr Gallagher has been in post at St Helier since 2004. He has sole responsibility for nephrology services at The Royal Surrey County Hospital and has developed local clinics in Surrey for patients receiving renal replacement. He has an active research interest and a national profile in the field of chronic kidney disease. He was an expert advisor to the 2008 Quality and Outcomes Framework and the Royal College of Physicians Stakeholder for the 2008 NICE guidance on Chronic Kidney Disease and member of the External Reference Group
